If, like me, you love a bargain and you love camping, chances are you’ll be trawling Amazon over the coming days and looking for top deals. It can feel a bit like a jumble sale in there. Like the reduced section at Tesco, but with more carabiners. But you won’t be like Maureen and Brian hastily scanning for a marked-down leg of lamb, we’ve done the hard work for you!
We dug through years of Prime Day camping deals across the categories that matter to work out which product types consistently discount well, which brands show up reliably, and where the deals genuinely represent value versus a manufactured markdown. By the end of this, you’ll know exactly what to watch for and what to ignore.
So grab a cuppa, open up your laptop, tablet or Amazon scrolling device of choice, and let’s get into it.
The Categories That Consistently Deliver
These show up every year with meaningful discounts. If you need any of these, Prime Day is a genuinely good time to buy.
1. Tents
The headline category every year without fail.
Vango runs Prime Day deals consistently and this is a brand we rate highly. Discounts of 18-36% across their range are realistic, including the Apollo 500, Talas Tunnel, and Orion trekking tent. If you’re going to invest properly in a family tent, the Airbeam Odyssey Air 500 is the one to watch for a deal on. It’s an inflatable tent, sets up in minutes and honestly changes the camping experience.
Coleman is the other reliable name in tents and they discount deeply, sometimes up to 50%. The Sundome and Instant series appear year after year with 25-50% off. One tip: sizes from four-person upward tend to get the best treatment.
2. Portable Power Stations & Air Conditioning Units
The fastest-growing category in outdoor gear deals, and for good reason. If you camp with kids and need to keep devices charged, Prime Day is genuinely one of the best times of year to buy.
Jackery is probably the most recognisable name in portable power for camping right now. They show up on Prime Day every single year with some of their biggest discounts. In 2025 they offered up to 65% off their best-selling portable power stations and solar generator bundles, which is exceptional for a premium brand. Anker SOLIX has been gaining serious ground on Jackery over the past couple of years, largely because the price-to-spec ratio is strong. Their Prime Day deals can reach up to 51% off power stations and solar generators. The SOLIX C1000 is their sweet spot for camping.
Both are reliable. Neither is a bad choice. Jackery has the stronger brand recognition; Anker often edges it on specs at a given price point. Either way, Prime Day is the best time of year to buy either of them.
Eco Flow Wave 3 Portable Air Conditioner doesn't come cheap, so Prime Day is one of the better moments to catch it. EcoFlow tends to discount its bigger units during Amazon's sale events, and with this being a four-day Prime Day it's worth checking the live price rather than paying full RRP. We'd suggest having a look now while the deal's on, since the price reverts once the event closes on Friday.
3. Sleeping Systems

Coleman and Rumpl both offer solid Prime Day deals on sleeping bags, and if you’ve been eyeing a Vango Shangri-La self-inflating mattress, Prime Day is worth watching closely.
4. Drinkware
If your house is anything like ours, there’s a drawer somewhere full of mismatched lids and dented steel bottles. If you’re in the market for branded drinkware, you’re in luck.
YETI and Stanley both appear every year with decent discounts.
We’d start with these two:

5. Coolers
Two brands worth your attention here.
YETI: This is perhaps the only time of year their prices come down enough to feel genuinely reasonable! They usually offer around 20-30% off, and the deals tend to land on specific colourways rather than the full range. The Roadie 24 is the model to watch: it’s compact, practical for camping rather than just base camp use, and has previously come in at 30% off.
The real winner though is the Coleman 316 Series. Historically this has seen discounts of up to 47%, which in our eyes makes it an absolute bargain. A 59-litre capacity, up to five days of ice retention, heavy-duty wheels and a lid you can actually sit on. These are genuinely brilliant cool boxes and at Prime Day prices they’re hard to argue with.
Keep an eye on the Coleman Snap ’N Go too. It’s brand new, already going viral for its collapsible hard-sided design, and comes in three sizes: 33 litres, 43 litres, and 52 litres. If it gets a meaningful Prime Day discount it could be one of the standout camping deals of the sale.
6. Outdoor Cooking
This category has grown significantly in recent years and the deals have followed.
First up, the BioLite CampStove 2+. This thing is remarkable. You burn sticks and twigs, it cooks your food, and the heat from the fire powers a USB charger so you can charge your devices at the same time. Yes, really. We love science. The BioLite has historically seen reductions of around 25%, which at its full price makes it a proper bargain.
If pizza is more your thing, Ooni also discount during Prime Day, usually around 20%. The Ooni Karu 12 is the entry point: wood pellet powered, reaches cooking temperature in 15 minutes, cooks a 12-inch pizza in 60 seconds, and has foldable legs so it travels. It’s also genuinely portable enough to take camping.

What to Skip on Prime Day
Not all deals are created equal.
Technical waterproofs and hiking boots from quality brands like Montane, Merrell, and Scarpa rarely discount meaningfully on Amazon. If they appear, it’s usually older colourways or sizes nobody wants. Your best bet with those brands is going direct to their own websites, which often pop up a 10% welcome discount on your first visit anyway.
Flash or Lightning Deals with no review history. Brands you’ve never heard of with suspiciously high discounts are not worth the gamble for kit you’re trusting outdoors. This is not Temu!
